I discovered this artist, Sarah Folkman in Juxtopose mag recently and I really LOVE her work. When asked by Juxtopose if she had three wishes, what would they be, she answered this:
1. To have a crow as a close personal friend.
2. To be able to travel back in time and fiddle with things3. I think number 2 would pretty much take care of number 3.
Funny and insiteful in her answers, she totally reflects the Fembot style. I love that she paints on wood. There is something about the raw texture in wood beneath the paints that makes the work surreal and sexy.
